Hi, in this example you get the opportunity to make the VAT a little different on different drinks by pulling the sliders in the VAT app that you reach by clicking on the link below. The computer program ensures that other VAT rates are adjusted so that total VAT to the state remains unchanged, which you see by the other bars being automatically compensated – in this case, so that the horizontal (or vertical) bars have unchanged mean value.
This web app is under development so new functions will be added gradually. You can also help doing this by submitting comments in the forum on this page.
The purpose is to give the public the opportunity to control the markets so that consumers will become more environmentally aware and thus consumption will become more environmentally friendly (hopefully!). To develop such awareness and ability to apply it using this technology may require some training. Awareness of this kind is becoming increasingly important as humanity increasingly dominates nature on our little planet. The environmental impacts (forest harvesting, CO2 emissions, de-icing, etc.) that lead to climate change, for example, need to be eliminated globally within 10 years, it is often said.

You will then come to a page with two links where you can choose the voting panel if you want to try pulling the sliders and vote, and you can choose the admin panel to get statistics for all polls. When you have a differentiation-vote ready, click on ”vote ready” [Swe: Röstat klart] to get it registered, then click on ”Back” [Swe: Tillbaka] (to the VAT app portal) to be able to choose to come to the ”Admin panel” where you can then click on ”View history” [Swe: Visa historik] to see all the votes submitted. There you see your new vote(s) at the bottom of that page.
